The Musée des beaux-arts and the Cité de la dentelle et de la mode de Calais, in association with the Fonds Hélène & Édouard Leclerc pour la Culture, offer Libres Figurations années 80, a temporary exhibition that will be on display in the vast spaces of both museums from June 11, 2021.
A non-academic art form, the Libres Figurations movement is revealed through over 200 works by 50 international artists and groups of artists who left their mark on these emblematic years (1979-1986) with their effervescent, vital creations, which shook up the codes of art.
