Speerstra Gallery Switzerland offers a new look at the famous painting "The Garden of Earthly Delights" by Jérome Bosch. The exhibition allows us to rediscover this masterpiece of art history through the prism of eighteen artists from Switzerland. The works of each artist are confronted with an element of the Dutch artist's painting, creating a dizzying bridge between medieval art and contemporary creation. The poetry is preserved, as are the cryptic themes that fuel our imagination. This translation into our own time is a matter of course, and entirely in keeping with the spirit of Hieronymus Bosch, who demonstrated extreme modernity and freedom by freeing himself from the models of his time. This is an opportunity to discover the breadth of expression offered by the selection of artists: painting, sculpture, photography, weaving, ceramics and virtual works.
On closer inspection, the "The Garden of Earthly Delights" has all the hallmarks of a virtual world of its time.
