The work presented in this exhibition depict a state of tangible rupture. A scene in which colours and contrasts play in a world of poetic abstraction. The scene reveals the intention of the artist to convey his vision for an in-between (childhood/adulthood, order/chaos, reality/fantasy, etc.), creating a delicate balance symbolising the questions and doubts that accompany any evolution.
The "Broken sculptures" series in fact shows the state in which Nelio currently finds himself: at the dawn of a new time of progression that transits through a slow destruction of the essence of his work and its definitions.
Other works reveal a passage towards a new state of mind and lead us to observe a sort of organised chaos.
The series "Abstract Alphabet" preserves a symbolic link with the graffiti Nelio produced in his earlier days but with the intent to establish a more universal language.
